Session 2          June 30 – July 3           Red, White and Blue

No camp Friday, July 4

Celebrate our country’s birthday with this week of red, white, and blue. Join our country’s early pioneers as we glimpse what it was like to live on the frontier. Make corn husk dolls, play colonial games and learn how Native Americans lived a century ago.

Session 3          July 7 – 11                      Pirate Week

Ahoy Mateys! Join our pirate crew and become a sea savvy scallywag this summer!  We will be learning about the pirate’s favorite habitat: the water world. Go on a treasure hunt, learn about the water cycle and become an expert on the ways of water. One of our most popular summer themes.

Session 4 A       July 14 – 18                    Garden Explorers

Ages 5 – 7

You’ll explore the many different areas of our Garden, focusing on our plant friends.  Learn how plants grow and find their pollinator pals. Perform experiments, watch plants grow and play games to learn more about our botanical buddies.

Session 4 B       July 14 – 18                    Junior Master Gardeners

Ages 8 – 10

Dig deeper into the plant world with our new Junior Master Gardener week!  We will learn about everything from paper pots, to designer insects, and even edible dirt!  So come prepared to learn tremendous trees and fascinating flowers.

Session 5          July 21 – 25                    Mad Scientist Week

Experimentation is the theme for this week as we learn the skills to become mad scientists. Don’t miss our famous egg drop competition!!! Make slime and grow plants as budding science experts.

Session 6          July 28 – August 1       Pirate Week 2

Session 7          August 4 – 8                   Adventures from Around the World

Become a world traveler as we explore the WOW passport gardens, learn about different cultures and find out how their environment influences everything from their art to their food. Session 8          August 11 – 15             Artists in the Garden

Calling all future Monets, Picassos and Rembrandts – this week is about seeing the Garden through the eyes of an artist. We’ll use paints, colored pencils, and pastels to create art worthy of the Chrysler, or at least your mom’s refrigerator. Join us on this colorful quest.

Session 9          August 18 – 22             Critter Camp

There are many furry, feathered and scaly friends living in the Garden, and this is the week you’ll find them! Go on a bug hunt, make a bird feeder, find crickets for our resident leopard lizard. You’ll even create your own animal during this fun-filled creature feature.
